Since 2014, Oscar and his wife Eva have been making wine in the village of Sajazarra in northwestern Rioja. It is a small bodega that focuses on terroir and special vineyards in the Rioja. They look at how wine used to be made, before the use of all American wood and heavy wines. The couple works by parcel, with an equal distribution between tempranillo, granacha and cariñena for red and for white mainly viura and malvasia. Most of the vineyards are located on steep slopes, in the cooler areas of Rioja. As little intervention as possible is used to make wine, so that mainly the terroir and grape varieties speak.
Oskar was apprenticed to good friend Telmo Rodriguez. Together they 'fight' for authentic Rioja.
