Zuccardi Torrontes 2024

An explosion of exotic aromas: rose, jasmine, and rose on the nose and palate. Lots of freshness.

Torrontés is a truly quintessential Argentine grape that thrives in the Valle de Uco terroir. Torrontés is incredibly, incredibly aromatic. It's somewhat similar to Gewürztraminer, but much fresher. The aroma is rich in tropical fruit, lychee, rose, jasmine, and orange blossom. There's also a fresh basil note. The flavor is definitely not over the top! (which its French counterpart can sometimes suffer from). Deliciously juicy and with very distinctive acidity, along with those recurring aromas.

Winemaker

Familia Zuccardi was founded by the father of former director José Alberto Zuccardi. His father owned an irrigation company, which thrived in the dry Mendoza region, where virtually no agriculture could take place without irrigation. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the irrigation company, Alberto planted his first vineyards in Maipú in 1963. The company has since been taken over by Sebastian Zuccardi, Alberto's son. Zuccardi produces wines of consistent, high quality in the mid-to-high range.
