CONTENT

This course consists of two parts and is also examined in two parts. Candidates who pass both parts of the examination will receive the WSET -Wine Level 3 Qualification.


PART 1 - THEORY

  • The key factors in wine production: provenance, grape growing, vinification, ageing and bottling.
  • The key characteristics of the world's best known still, sparkling and fortified wines
  • Using your knowledge and insight in the hospitality industry to make reliable recommendations and choices.

PART 2 - PRACTICE

  • The ability to taste wines according to the WSET Systematic Tasting Method Level 3, describe their character and assess their quality.

Here you will find the Level 3 explanatory notes. It contains everything you need to know to pass the exam.


TIME

This course is taught in 30 hours of class (15×2 hours). In addition, you should allow for 2-3 hours of self-study per week - it is essential that the lessons are prepared on a weekly basis. The exam takes 2.5 hours, for which self-study is required. Usually the course takes place from 19.00 to 21.00.

FAST TRACK: The lessons take place from 10-12 and from 13-15, 2 lessons on one day.

The price includes the study pack, 6 wine glasses and the exam. There are approximately 75 wines to be tasted, value of €1.800
