Discover the fascinating world of wine with the WSET Level 2 Wine Course. Whether you are an enthusiastic wine lover or aspiring for a professional career in the wine industry, this course provides an excellent foundation for your wine knowledge.

During the course, you will learn:

  • How to taste and describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine.
  • How environment, viticulture, winemaking, and aging influence the style and quality of wines made from the eight main grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio/Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah/Shiraz.
  • How to assess the style and quality of wines made from 22 locally important grape varieties, from over 70 wine regions worldwide.
  • More about sparkling and fortified wines: how they are made and which grapes are used.
  • How to interpret the information on a wine label.
  • How to serve and store wine.
  • How to create wine and food pairings.

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive the prestigious WSET Level 2 Wine Qualification, which allows you to progress to Level 3.

This course includes all the information required to confidently prepare for the Level 2 exam.

DURATION

The course is classroom-based and totals 16 hours, divided over 8 lessons of 2 hours each. Lessons take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In addition to classroom time, expect 2 hours of self-study per week. The exam lasts 1 hour.

Note: The price includes VAT, a study package, and the exam. During the course, approximately 45 wines are tasted, with a total value of around €800.
