You don't often see Cinsault as a varietal wine. We know it mainly from the blend in the Southern Rhone in France. Waterkloof here dares to put this grape from 35 years of organically grown old bush vines alone in the bottle. "cool" for enjoying it at a lower temperature (around 14°C) and because it comes from the cooler slopes. "Serious" because of its well-structured length. Playful in its aromas with lots of red berries, pronounced flowers. On the palate, the prominent fruit aromas are complemented by soft tannins, and fresh acids that provide some nice tension. This wine can be drunk on its own, but also pairs well with Peking Duck or Chinese Pork Belly.
