The nose is expressive and combines notes of exotic fruit, grapefruit and a slight spiciness and smokiness coming from the aging on the lees. The palate is full and powerful, but not tiring due to the presence of a clear mineral tone.

Winemaker
The Tornatore winery was founded by Francesco Tornatore, who earned his living in telecommunications. It wasn't until the 21st century that he created a magnificent winery in Castiglione di Sicilia, on the volcanic soil north of Mount Etna. Francesco's great-grandfather planted vineyards in 1865, so Tornatore not only boasts over 150 years of experience but also some old vineyards. The decision was made to work with native grape varieties, Nerrello Mascalese and Nerello Cappucio for reds and Carricante for whites, all of which are also hand-picked.
