It begins with a vibrant ruby red color. Then, an expressive aroma of red berries, jam, cassis, strawberry, chocolate, black pepper, and a touch of cedar. Eight months of French oak yields aromas of vanilla, smoke, cigar boxes, and sweet spices. This wine is rich and fresh, robust and elegant at the same time. Everything falls into place, with beautiful balance and a long finish.
A perfect food wine: braised beef with fries, steak and eggs, paella, cannelloni, and lasagna. It also works neat, delicious later in the evening.
