Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis Potosí is made from green agave (Agave Salmiana), a variety native to the semi-desert slopes and plains of the San Luis Potosí region. In its natural habitat, the plant is considered mature at approximately twelve years old, when it reaches a height of nearly five feet. Its growth and maturity depend on factors such as temperature, soil composition, and water availability.

The cap is handmade by Mexican artisans using a technique that uses colored yarn to create intricate designs. It depicts a beautiful, mythical landscape of desert mountains and valleys filled with bright red finches in flight. Creating this spectacle takes over three hours.
