Le Masciare, Fiano di Avellino 2023
The Fiano di Avellino is Le Masciare's first organically certified wine. The grapes grow on hills near the town of Lapio, in the Arianiello region, at an altitude of around 500 meters in a tree-lined vineyard. This isolated location facilitates organic viticulture. The high altitude gives the wine a natural freshness. The soil consists of calcareous clay and contains limestone and volcanic rock.

Founded in 2001 by Caterina Martone, Le Masciare started with just 4 hectares each of olive trees and Aglianico vines in the heart of Irpinia, Campania. Since 2009, the estate has been run by longtime family friends Erik, Virna, Dario, and Arjen, who brought new energy and investment to the winery. Today, Le Masciare produces small-lot, handcrafted wines that showcase the region's native grapes—Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Falanghina, and Coda di Volpe—with a focus on vineyard quality and authentic expression.
