The company "Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico" was founded in 1961. It was a cooperative that has since been acquired by Piccini. At Geografico, each vineyard under management is evaluated by a geologist and a vineyard specialist. They advise on the best grape varieties and rootstocks. They then assist the owner with vineyard planning and ongoing vineyard management. A team of expert winemakers produces the wine. Finally, there are state-of-the-art bottling lines. This quality philosophy is combined with a focus on terroir: the grapes for the higher-quality wines are always sourced from a single vineyard and are therefore named after their respective estate. The wines are produced using traditional methods with minimal intervention in the vinification process. This results in honest, easy-to-drink wines that are also competitively priced.
