Aubert & Mathieu Hautes, Pistes Pinot 2024

Pinot Grigio for high slopes. Raspberry, red currant, and Marasca cherry. A generous accompaniment to poultry and finger food. Off-piste, that's where the danger lies, but also the "magic zone"!

Aubert & Mathieu are also venturing onto thin ice by planting Pinot Noir so far south. However, they cultivate their Pinot Noir just high enough in the foothills of the Pyrenees. This gives it the freshness it needs. This terroir allows it to showcase all its richness.

On the nose, we immediately smell fresh raspberries. From the first sip, this light wine opens generously to reveal aromas of red berries and sour cherries. Delicious with chicken empanadas and other finger foods.

Winemaker

Aubert and Mathieu are two young men who met in high school in Carcassonne, the vibrant heart of the Languedoc region. They had already made a successful start in business, but that wasn't what they were passionate about. In 2018, they embarked on their wine merchant adventure. The key words for their wines were freshness, balance, and complexity.
