Aubert & Mathieu Hautes, Pistes Pinot 2024
Pinot Grigio for high slopes. Raspberry, red currant, and Marasca cherry. A generous accompaniment to poultry and finger food. Off-piste, that's where the danger lies, but also the "magic zone"!
Aubert & Mathieu are also venturing onto thin ice by planting Pinot Noir so far south. However, they cultivate their Pinot Noir just high enough in the foothills of the Pyrenees. This gives it the freshness it needs. This terroir allows it to showcase all its richness.
On the nose, we immediately smell fresh raspberries. From the first sip, this light wine opens generously to reveal aromas of red berries and sour cherries. Delicious with chicken empanadas and other finger foods.
