Movia, Puro White 2011

Sparkling wine made from the rebula grape. The wine is not disgorged, and thus matures on the groin until it is opened by the final consumer. The wine must therefore be disgorged at home, after it has been upside down for at least 24 hours! Quite a spectacle.

In the south-west of Savoie lies the village of Jongieux, where Antoine and his parents make congenial, unaffected wines from local grape varieties. For whites these are jacquère and roussette and for reds gamay and mondeuse. The vineyards are situated on poor limestone slopes at about 400 meters altitude. The area has even recently been classified as a national heritage site because of its beauty. And for 7th generation Antoine, preserving this landscape is one of the most important aspects and therefore the domaine is certified 'Haute Valeur Environnementale', which means they are super sustainable.
