Kaiken, 'Terroir Series' Torrontés 2020

This golden yellow wine combines the sultry notes of melon, lycee, orange peel and grapefruit with a ripe but not soapy taste. The wine is surprisingly refreshing and is very versatile for both dry wine lovers and those who prefer round wines.

In the south-west of Savoie lies the village of Jongieux, where Antoine and his parents make congenial, unaffected wines from local grape varieties. For whites these are jacquère and roussette and for reds gamay and mondeuse. The vineyards are situated on poor limestone slopes at about 400 meters altitude. The area has even recently been classified as a national heritage site because of its beauty. And for 7th generation Antoine, preserving this landscape is one of the most important aspects and therefore the domaine is certified 'Haute Valeur Environnementale', which means they are super sustainable.
